Dear Sirs
As you are aware, QNZ International purchased a two cubic metre Jetpatcher® unit
in early 1992 with a view to selling it to a local road repair contractor in
Qatar. Fortunately for QNZ this never came to pass and as a result, QNZ began
developing and operating a road maintenance service in Qatar.
Qatar presented an ideal application for the Jetpatcher® system due to the
neglected state of many peripheral and minor urban roads, coupled with a budget
conscious local government administration.
QNZ began operations undertaking temporary patching works on outlying peripheral
roads. Such was the efficiency and quality of the patching works, demand from
the Department of Civil Works necessitated the purchase of a second machine.
Both machines have been in constant use since commissioning.
We enter 1994 with a pending approval for permanent patching works which will
enable us to pursue reinstatement works with other government departments in
Qatar. We intend to purchase an additional trailer mounted or four cubic metre
unit for this purpose.
We are constantly impressed with the level of technical backup and support we
receive from Jetpatcher® Corporation, as frequently as it is required. The
machines have proved very reliable, even when operating in 45°C + Summer
temperatures and the only parts replacements have been drive belts and
consumables, despite the continuous use for almost two years.
In short, we are delighted with both the Jetpatcher® system and management behind
it. The units have proved to be a highly profitable operational venture and have
been integral to the success of QNZ in the Arabian Gulf.
