THE latest
weapon in the region's battle against road potholes was unveiled to the public
this week.
The jet blaster, a new tool in the council's armoury, was displayed at the
Upper Annandale and Eskdale Committee on Monday night.
Roads bosses have been tackling the potholes problem with the machine over the
last few months with a loan jet blaster and they were delighted to finally
receive their own one this week.
Ronnie Dempster; local service manager in Annandale and Eskdale, has been
impressed with the machine.
He said: "This is the first one that the council has bought and it looks like it
is going to be a very cost-effective purchase.
"The jet blaster is a very quick and permanent solution to the problem we have
in the region with potholes."
