History

The Jetpatcher® Road Repair Machine; designed in New Zealand in 1988 by Jim Turnbull is a uniquely designed and innovative process for road repair and maintenance.

Following a year of considerable research and development the embryonic innovation developed into an extremely high quality cost-effective way of repairing and maintaining roads, car parks, footpaths, and industrial areas.

The Jetpatcher® Corporation was subsequently founded in 1989 to commercialise the Jetpatcher® process and over the last sixteen years Jetpatcher® has become the largest supplier worldwide which specialises in the manufacture and hire of this type of road repair equipment.

Jetpatcher® UK Ltd, located in Sunderland was formed in 1997, and is already the UK market leader in the industry; their growing fleet of hire machines has brought significant savings to a variety of users making the UK one of the fastest growth areas in the Jetpatcher® Corporation.

There are now Twenty Eight units in service in the UK and over 250 machines in 18 countries across; Australasia, the pacific, the Far East, India, South Africa and both Western and Eastern Europe.

Overview

The Jetpatcher® is a completely self-contained unit combining the resources of a truck, emulsion spray tanker, compressor, concrete saw (For edge preparation prior to laying Hot Rolled Asphalt) & roller. The machine and technique enables you to lay the new road repair mix, with out having to excavate the old failure first! You can lay the new material at varying depths ranging from 5 to 300 mm. The new material is applied and compacted layer by layer from the bottom up, not the top down, this results in a very strong, long lasting repair due to the superior compaction that is achieved.

What to Expect From the Jetpatcher®

The three steps in the process are completed in one smooth operation: Jet air blast cleaning, Tack-coat pre-sealing, and filling the pothole, this results in an even repair, which blends into the existing road surface.

Jetpatcher® can be used for repairing many types of road damage including:

Potholes, Haunches, Stripped Surface Dressing, Utility Cuts, Micro Resurfacing, Pre Surface Dressing Patching
Temporary Repairs on Motorways

Jetpatcher® users have reported that substantial cost savings have been made in all of the following areas due to the unique Jetpatcher process.

Reduced traffic control, No waste material to dispose of,
Very fast & efficient, the average daily material output for a 2-man crew is the equailivant of 20 tons of traditional repair material

The fast repair system means that workers are not exposed to traffic for extended periods. Safety is therefore enhanced for both the operators and public as the repairs can be driven over immediately after being laid

Jetpatcher® Road Repair Machines are available for hire either with or without an operator; we offer advice on the different types of repair methods and materials, this ensures that you and your client achieve Best Value!
